MeMoves Review
MeMoves is an interactive activity that combines music, images, and body movements to increase attention and improve focus. This app can be used anywhere, and it's a great choice for early childhood classrooms and individuals with disabilities, such as autism spectrum disorder. The software includes several short, interactive sequences that last two to three minutes. Users follow the instructions on the screen to move from one segment to the next. MeMoves has several distinct levels. It's recommended for children three and up, but some three-year-olds may have trouble following the movements. The software's user guide and puzzle cards make it easy to get started. The CD contains eight levels of movement exercises. MoreMeMoves is the next version of Thinking Moves' award-winning program. It adds new music, movements, and smiling faces to the original program, and it's available for purchase starting Sept. 18. The program can be bought on DVD, or teachers can also purchase a digital license or buy a USB for use in the classroom. The company has conducted research with schools in St. Paul, Minnesota, and New York City to develop the program. It found that students who participated in the program reduced their off-task behavior by 54 percent.
